QUALITERRITOIRES : 111 forestry entrepreneurs of Aquitaine committed to the national quality approach " sustainable forest management"

Since July 2012 the new PEFC 2012-2017 scheme obliges owners, operators, sawyers, cooperatives, municipalities...certified PEFC to call upon forestry entrepreneurs engaged in a national quality approach recognized by PEFC France. This is the case for the national "ETF sustainable forest management" approach. 

Members of the European Commission responsible for EAFRD 2014-2020 grants dedicated to forest harvesting machinery have retained the "ETF sustainable forest management" national approach as a criteria for selecting projects for funding. 

On December 1st 2015, 540 ETFs (forestry entrepreneurs) were involved in the initiative at national level. After Lorraine, Aquitaine is the second most important region involved with 111 ETFs.
