Workshop on transportation and logistics Wood in the Grand-Est French area: June 9, 2016 in Pont-à-Mousson

This conference is the culmination of work over a year of Xylolink and Forêt Logistique Conseil in close collaboration with professional, interprofessional and with the support of Regional Observatories of transport (ORT). It aims to enable participants to reflect on the prospects of transport and logistics of wood in the coming years.

2:30 p.m.: The timber transport: technological or organizational issues?

3:00 p.m.: Zoom on good practices: what's happening on the field?

4:00 p.m.: Three innovations to rethink the organization of supply.

4:30 p.m.: What opportunities for field practice?

5:30 p.m.: Conclusion by a representative of the DREAL

Wood logistics in the Great East: what possible innovations?

The project is supported by the regional transport observatories of the Great East. Its aim is to better understand the processes that take place between the forest and the primary wood processing sites (sawmills, crushing industries, boilers, etc) to suggest ways to improve their logistics.
